About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer with strong expertise in PHP and JavaScript to design, develop, and maintain high-performance websites and applications. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of WordPress core, custom theme/plugin development, and front-end interactivity using JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Modify and optimize existing WordPress websites for performance, security, and scalability.
• Implement responsive designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery, React, or Vue.js is a plus).
• Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways.
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues (PHP, JavaScript, database).
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Optimize website speed, SEO, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, PHP/JavaScript advancements, and web standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in WordPress development (5+ years preferred).
• Strong PHP skills (OOP, WordPress hooks, REST API).
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+, DOM manipulation, AJAX).
• Experience with WordPress theme/plugin development (ACF, Custom Post Types, Gutenberg Blocks).
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Bootstrap/Tailwind).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Understanding of MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Basic knowledge of web security (CSRF, XSS, SQLi prevention).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React/Vue.js in WordPress (Headless WP).
• Knowledge of WooCommerce customization.
• Familiarity with Docker/Local by Flywheel for local development.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for WordPress deployment.
