About the Role

The Senior Accountant will handle accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data management for automotive clients using Oracle NetSuite (no configuration), ensuring data accuracy and completeness, with advanced Excel skills, ACCA/CA/ICMA certification, and independent systems’ navigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and classify transactions in NetSuite, ensuring accurate allocation to locations, classes, departments, descriptions, and accounting periods.
• Perform reconciliations for vendors, banks, customers, AP/AR to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Post GL entries for prepaid expenses, accruals, depreciation, and amortization for timely month-end closings.
• Manage NetSuite’s Inventory and Fixed Asset modules for automotive assets and materials.
• Prepare financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) with variance analysis, commentary, meeting deadlines.
• Execute data import/export in NetSuite for accounting entries.
• Maintain audit-ready records, including invoices and receipts, with precise documentation.
• Navigate sales, collections, banking, payroll, insurance, and vendor portals to process payments, claims, and invoices.
• Monitor vendor and payment metrics using NetSuite’s Saved Searches and Excel metrices.
• Present financial reports to stakeholders with clear communication.

Requirements

• ACCA, CA, or ICMA certification (completed or finalist).
• 4–5 years of NetSuite experience in GL, AP/AR, Inventory, Fixed Asset, Reporting, and accounting.
• Expertise in reconciliations (vendors, banks, customers, AP/AR) for data accuracy and completeness.
• Proficiency in NetSuite data import/export.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, XMATCH, OFFSET, PivotTables) and formatting.
• Familiarity with automotive industry operations is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly proactive, able to work with minimal supervision.
